Ramos Arizpe, Coah. A high school teacher was stabbed and beaten by a student who she allegedly caught the attention of. The attack occurred this Wednesday afternoon in a classroom at Secondary 1, in the Analco neighborhood, in this municipality adjacent to Saltillo
The attack was recorded by the school’s video surveillance system. In the video, the 14-year-old minor is seen standing in front of the blackboard. The teacher, identified by the authorities as Patricia Eugenia Burciaga Dávila, 59, leaves her chair and goes to the classroom door and at that moment the young man stabs her in the back three times and then hits her in the head and the face.
The teacher fell to the floor and the minor ran out of the room, to the astonishment of the other students.
According to the State Attorney General’s Office, the teacher is hospitalized in an ISSSTE clinic. The teenager was secured by school teachers and taken to an IMSS hospital, because in the attack he injured his right hand.
